Pilot Proposal
My fiancé is an airline pilot, and sometimes when he has long overnight stays, I go with him. A few months ago, he had a trip scheduled to Toronto, and as I hadn’t been there in a while, I asked if I could join him…he had been planning on proposing to me, but saw this as the perfect opportunity to do so, seeing as I’d invited myself, and wouldn’t be expecting it.
He originally told me to bring a nice dress, as he wanted to take me to a nice restaurant for dinner but soon told me that he wasn’t able to get the reservations that he had wanted–he also told me that my engagement ring was still not ready, so at that point I figured that nothing was going to happen.
He wound up taking me to the 360 restaurant, located at the top of the CN Tower. While taking in the breathtaking views, he proceeded to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him…I could not have asked for anything more; he took me completely by surprise, which is what made his proposal so perfect to me.
